Our firm is dedicated to Francis Henry Black, the grandfather of the firm's partners, Harry & Jamie Black.
Grandpa Black's firm, F.H. Black & Company Chartered Accountants was formed in 1950 with offices in Fort William, Ontario, Port Arthur, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The Black boys' father, Robert John Black, Chartered Accountant articled for F.H.Black & Company and then left the firm to take on challenges in industry.
Harry Black revived the firm name in 1990, after Grandpa's firm merged with other accounting firms decades earlier.
The 20 years that followed have seen the firm expand continously in all aspects: client base, staff size, service offerings, skills, and office locations. In many ways the last 20 years have been a continuation of the progress that Grandpa Black started nearly 60 years ago.
